CHIEFS PAGE ![]() As the Chief of Fairview Volunteer Fire Department I would like to welcome you to our website. I started out with Fairview Volunteer Fire Department a little over 16 years ago as a volunteer. I worked my way up through the ranks of Lieutenant, Rescue Captain, Captain, and Assistant Chief before I became Chief in January of 2007.Three words can express our mission to the Fairview Community, Prevention- Mitigation – Improving. The Fairview Fire Department continues with the traditional services of fire and emergency medical protection that was originally established here in 1959.Over the years we have had to adapt to providing services such as search and rescue, wild land fire protection, rope and water rescue, as well as extrication of victims from motor vehicle accidents. Our response times have improved and safety has increased as new technologies have increased. We have improved our fire and medical protection by adding a substation in the Spring Mountain Community as well as adding more personnel, (paid and Volunteer). The level of training of our dedicated public servants has also risen with the demand. The Fairview Fire Department has experienced profound change in the last several years in every respect and on every level. Our personnel constantly train to improve their skills so they may provide the best fire and medical protection possible As the Chief, I can say that the citizens of the Fairview Community can be proud of the trust they place in this department and know that the department moves forward with the goals of providing the highest quality of emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I am proud of this community and especially proud of the men and women of the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department who serve you everyday. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
